THE AI LEVERAGE · BRAG KIT

You built it. Then you launched it with one screenshot.

Here's what /brag does, what your machine needs, how to install it in your coding agent, and the playbook for launch day so the video gets seen.

Install → let's /brag → brag.mp4 → Launch

First: what is /brag actually doing?

/brag is an agent skill. You run it inside the project you built, and it turns that project into a short launch video with music, motion and share copy.

It splits the job in two. /brag owns the story: the product angle, the tone and which moments to show. Then it hands a focused brief to Hyperframes, which builds, times and renders the video.

You get a brag-output/ folder with:

  • The plan

  • A composition brief

  • The share copy

  • The rendered brag.mp4

The video isn't a template with your logo dropped in. It's built around your product's angle.

It's free, MIT licensed, and has 16,000 stars on GitHub.

Before you install

What you need:

  • An agent that supports Agent Skills: Claude Code, Codex CLI, opencode, Cursor, Gemini CLI and others

  • Node.js 22+

  • FFmpeg on your PATH

  • The Hyperframes CLI, via npx hyperframes

Check that Hyperframes is ready:

npx hyperframes doctor

On Claude Opus 5.5? /brag switches to /brag-slim automatically. It's the same skill rebuilt lean, with no Hyperframes and no bundled assets. Run /brag --full if you want the classic Hyperframes workflow.

On Windows? Enable symlinks first with git config core.symlinks true and Developer Mode, or copy skills/brag/ into your agent's skill folder by hand.

Step 1: Install it in your agent

Claude Code

/plugin marketplace add latent-spaces/brag
/plugin install brag@brag

The plugin includes /brag-slim too.

Codex

codex plugin marketplace add latent-spaces/brag
codex plugin add brag@brag

Cursor, Copilot, Gemini CLI, opencode and others

npx skills add https://github.com/latent-spaces/brag --skill brag

Add -g to make it available in every project.

Only want the lean version?

npx skills add https://github.com/latent-spaces/brag --skill brag-slim

Step 2: Brag

Open the project you want to launch and tell your agent:

let's /brag

Want a different tone? Steer it:

/brag --tone "fake Series A launch from 2016"

Voiceover is off by default. Turn it on with:

/brag --voice

When it finishes, open brag-output/. Your video is brag.mp4, and the share copy is sitting next to it.

The same team runs /brag for you at letsbrag.app. You paste your site's URL and get a 20-second launch video with music, motion and a caption.

  • $19 once at launch price, $29 later

  • Ready in about 10 minutes

  • No account, no subscription

  • Wide, tall or square

  • The video comes out in your site's language

  • Refunded automatically if no video comes out

The Launch Day Playbook

A launch video nobody sees is a screenshot with music. This is the order we'd post it in.

The day before

  • Render the right shape for your main channel. Tall for Reels, TikTok and Shorts. Square for the feed and LinkedIn. Wide for X, your site and a Product Hunt gallery.

  • Rewrite the first line of the share copy. /brag gives you a caption. Keep the body, but make the first line yours: what you built and who it's for, in under ten words.

  • Put the video on your own site. Your hero section or your README. Everyone you send there should see it first.

Launch morning

  • Upload the video natively on every platform. Don't post a link to the video. Native video gets shown, links get buried.

  • Post to your strongest channel first, then pin it to your profile.

  • Share it where builders gather: Product Hunt, Show HN, Indie Hackers and the subreddits your users read. Read each community's rules first, and write a real post, not a drive-by link.

  • Reply to every comment in the first hour. Early replies keep the post moving.

The week after

  • Send it to the people who already know you: your list, your waitlist, your past customers.

  • Message the people who'd care most, one by one, with one line on why you thought of them.

  • Brag again on every update. New feature, new version, new milestone. Run /brag again and post it.

Why we're watching this

Building got fast. Launching didn't.

Code in an afternoon → launch with a screenshot → nobody notices.

/brag closes that gap from inside the same agent you built the thing with. One command, and your product gets a launch video that explains it.

That's a shift worth paying attention to.
