What it actually is
Freebuff is an AI agent that builds websites and apps for you. You describe what you want in plain words, and it writes all the code, shows you a live preview and fixes whatever you ask it to fix.
Its App Builder comes with sign in, databases and publishing built in, so you go from idea to a live site without touching code. It runs in your browser, on Mac, Windows and Linux, and on Android.
The part that matters for you: a website is something almost every local business needs and many still do not have. You can now build one without paying for any software.
What it costs
$0. Freebuff is funded by ads instead of a subscription. No card, no credits to buy.
The trade: you see text ads inside Freebuff while you work, and the free version runs mostly on open AI models (like DeepSeek and GLM) instead of the most expensive premium ones. At launch, the founder announced 5 free hours of use per day, with more in some regions. Limits can change, so check what you get inside the app.
For simple business websites, that is more than enough.
Set it up in about 5 minutes
Step 1. Open it. Go to freebuff.com/app in your browser and sign in. Nothing to install.
Step 2. Start a project. Create a new project, or pick one of the starter templates if you want a head start.
Step 3. Describe the site. Write what you want like you are talking to a web designer. Copy this and change the details:
Build a one page website for a local hair salon called Luna Studio in Austin. Include a big header with a booking button, a services list with prices, opening hours, 3 customer reviews, a map section and a contact form. Clean, modern, mobile friendly, warm colors.
Step 4. Check the preview. Freebuff builds it and shows you the result in its preview window. Look at it on desktop and on a phone sized screen.
Step 5. Ask for changes in plain words. "Make the header photo darker." "Move the prices higher." "Add an Instagram link in the footer." Keep going until it looks like something you would pay for.
Step 6. Publish it. Use the built in publishing to get a live link you can send to anyone.
Build one sample site for a made up business first. That sample is your portfolio when you pitch.
The money plan
Open Google Maps and search for salons, barbers, cafés, gyms, cleaners or dentists near you. Look at the listings. A lot of them have no website button at all, or link to a site that looks ten years old. They know they need one. They just think it costs thousands and takes weeks. That gap is your business.
What you sell
One simple offer: a clean, mobile friendly website that gets you more bookings, ready in a few days. One page, with their services, prices, hours, reviews and a booking or contact button. Then an optional monthly plan where you make updates for them (new prices, new photos, holiday hours).
What to charge
Freelancers typically charge between $500 and $5,000 for a small business website, with monthly care plans often between $50 and $300, according to Always Do Better's 2026 pricing guide. Start at $500 per site so it is an easy yes, plus $50 a month for updates. Raise your price with every new client.
The math with 3 clients: 3 sites at $500 is $1,500 up front, plus $150 a month in recurring updates. Your software cost is $0. The client pays for their own domain, which usually runs around $12 to $25 a year.
Land your first 3 clients
1. Make a list of 20. Local businesses on Google Maps with no website or a clearly outdated one.
2. Build first, ask later. This is the move that makes this plan work. Because building costs you nothing, pick your top 5 and build each one a real demo site with their name, services and photos from their Google listing.
3. Send the link. DM them or walk in. For example: "Hey, noticed you don't have a website, so we built you one. Here's the link. If you like it, it's yours for $500 and we'll put it live on your own domain."
4. Close with one question. "Want us to make it live this week?" People say yes to something they can already see.
5. Ask for a referral. Local owners know other local owners. Every happy client should lead to the next one.
Your weekly routine
Monday: pick 5 businesses from your list.
Tuesday and Wednesday: build a demo site for each one in Freebuff.
Thursday: send the 5 links and follow up with anyone from last week.
Friday: finish and publish sites for paying clients, and handle update requests.
Your first 30 days
Week 1: learn Freebuff by building your own sample site, and make your list of 20.
Week 2: build 5 demo sites and send them.
Week 3: close your first client, build 5 more demos, send them.
Week 4: deliver, ask every client for a referral, and raise your price for the next one.
Three things worth knowing
Check everything before it goes live. AI builds fast but it can get details wrong. Check every price, phone number and opening hour with the owner before you publish.
Keep private stuff out. Never paste a client's passwords or private customer data into any free AI tool. Read Freebuff's privacy policy before you put client work in it.
The money comes from clients, not the tool. Freebuff makes the building free and fast. The income comes from sending the links, following up and keeping owners happy. Confirm how custom domains work in the app before you promise a client their own domain.
The AI Leverage finds the tools that make you sharper and faster before everyone else is using them, so you spend your time building instead of searching. by bestapps.ai on instagram
